The H5 is many devices in one. It is a great portable and desktop DAC, amplifier for headphones and speakers, or a music player. The dual AK4493SEQ DAC chips and XMOS XU316 USB processors come together to create a rich and lovable tone, whether you're listening to 32 bit/768 kHz PCM, DSD512, or MQA audio signals. With clear sound, outstanding signal-to-noise ratio performance and low distortion. At the heart of the device, dual TPA6120 and OPA1612 operational amplifiers pulse to deliver powerful output signals up to 840 mW @ 32 Ohm impedance. The 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced earphone and headphone connections are supported by a three-position gain mode. The H5 also communicates with Bluetooth 5.0 pairing up to LDAC resolution. Thanks to the RCA output, it can also be connected to active speakers for use as a preamplifier. Above the unobtrusive 0.87" monochrome display, colour indicator LEDs show bitrate, MQA and charge information.
