Packed inside are three material layers that help protect at different impact speeds and redirect rotation energy in many impacts. You still get the unbeatable ventilation of the flexible, segmented liner that adapts to the shape of your head for a custom feel. Top off this no-compromise design with the Tri-Matrix shell, delivering all the strength of carbon fiber in a more budget-friendly package for value that’s unheard of. Safety features The Moto-9S Flex is a great offroad helmet by Bell for Motocross/Enduro riders. These helmets are specially designed to give you the best experience when causing havoc in the dirt. Offroad helmets feature a larger eyeport to accommodate a pair of MX goggles. They also have a large peak to block sunlight and protect you from roost or low-hanging branches and the roomy chin piece offers more ventilation. Constructed from Fiberglass / fiber mix, this motorcycle helmet is generally stronger than a polycarbonate shell. These helmets are lightweight, durable and slightly flexible, allowing for excellent impact absorption. In addition, this helmet is provided with Flex Energy Management. A first-of-its kind, three layer impact liner designed to manage energy from three potential impact scenarios: low, mid and high speed. To top it all off, this helmet is integrated with Magnefusion Cheek Pad Emergency Release System. This allows for easy removal of the pads for washing and enables emergency responders to easily remove the cheek pads first before removing the helmet following an impact. The chinstrap closure is an important part of the helmet's effectiveness in the event of a fall, and it's also the part you interact with the most when putting on and taking off the helmet. The Moto-9S Flex has a Double-D buckle. This is the oldest type of buckle and, compared to the other types of chinstrap closures, has the simplest design. Yet today it is considered one of the safest closures. All helmets in our collection are certified and legal for European roads. This helmet is ECE 22.06 approved. 22.06 is the newest ECE certification and helmets with this label are safer than its 22.05 predecessors, because they need to meet stricter safety standards. Besides the helmet, the accessories, such as visors, are also included in the tests. Note: The pictures show the helmet with a sticker on the back with DOT approval. However, the helmet we sell is only ECE approved. Comfort The helmet is equipped with several ventilation ports that provide an optimal airflow and a comfortable feeling while riding. The interior of this helmet is provided with an Ionic+ Antimicrobial Comfort Padding. The quick-drying interior padding helps manage sweat while using silver for odor control. In addition, the helmet is fitted with a removable interior, which makes it possible to wash the interior and keep it fresh.
