For hand and machine tapping a variety of materials and applications. Spiral point taps have a chiselled point that pushes the metal chips ahead of the forming threads. This is useful when tapping through-holes (holes that extend through the work piece). Spiral Point taps are not recommended for use in blind holes since the accumulation of chips can bind and break the tap.Manufactured to ISO 529/BS 949.
